Dr. Foster: ‘Excellent work confirming Punnett square 3. As you can see, the F2 generation exhibits a 3:1 ratio with purple pea flowers at 75% and white at 25%. That means 25% are AA (homozygous dominant), 50% are Aa (heterozygous), and the remaining 25% are aa (homozygous recessive)—which reintroduces the white phenotype.

It’s a valuable reminder that while the F1 might not display the recessive trait, it can still be carried and emerge in the next generation.
