Dr. Spencer: Alright, let's talk about the observations you've made with the liquid cultures. What have you noticed regarding turbidity?

Sam: I've noticed that cultures from areas B, C and D are quite turbid, which I think is a clear sign of potential contamination.

You: It's a reasonable assumption, Sam. What about area E? It looks clear to me. 

Sam: That’s right, I just thought that we can’t rely on observations to make the determination that there is no contamination. 

Dr. Spencer: That’s correct, we should still investigate further to make sure, at this stage though it does not appear that area E is contaminated.
