You request labs, x-rays and explain more about pain management

You clinical examination led you to believe you might have an early onset OA of the knees. To confirm, treat and refer the patient you decide to order some labs to check for inflammation, x-rays for his lower back, check and knees. 

In the meantime you explain to the patient how pain management works, for pharmacological and non pharmacological treatments. You suggest using a notebook on ways to self-manage better. You also discuss new ways on self-management such as web tools, like mHealth applications.
