Use alcohol to soothe her pain

Anna drinks alcohol a few times to soothe her pain. She thinks that with a couple of drinks, or after 2 glasses of wine her pain is lower and her mood is better also.

During the past 3 months her husband has noticed that her alcohol consumption has been increasing gradually and is really concerned. He decided to have a talk with her. Anna thinks that having two or three drinks, or even more, is better that taking pills for the pain every day. She is tired of all these medicines, needing medications everyday to be able to feel good and do things. Her husband says that he is really worried that this might turn into an addiction. Anna dismisses the idea.

  • Rethinks her drinking and tries to reduce
  • Continues her drinking
