Starts working out in a gymAnna decides to join the gym. She has not trained for a long time, and now with her hip OA and her mobility difficulties she is not sure what exercises she can do freely. Still, she starts going to the gym 3 times per week. It's good for her mood. But after the first couple of weeks her hip gets worse, she cannot sleep at night, because the pain has gotten worse. She visits her rheumatologist who says that training unsupervised and putting weight on her hip cause some extra wear and tear on the joint. She will now have to abstain from any kind of exercise for at least a month. This sets Anna back to her previous state of stress and she starts thinking a lot of bad scenarios about the future. |
