Blood tests are not required for checking efficacy of the newer OAC agents. 

"Only in case of warfarin or acenocoumarol, should I have my INR regularly checked before cardioversion. 

My doctor will give me proper advice about any action before my upcoming cardioversion."

This is a wrong response that could lead to potentially harmful results to the health.
