Start supplements before follow up in clinic

You go to see Charlie. You explain that although the intussusception has been treated, a separate problem was identified and that Charlie is deficient in iron and vitamin D. This is leading to anaemia and preventing her bones developing properly. You are going to start her on some supplements to take at least until she is seen again in clinic.

Otherwise she is looking well and has started to feed. Her mother is very happy with her rapid improvement. Even her stool is looking normal in colour.
