Initiate pharmacological therapy

Fasting plasma Glu >110mg/dL and Glu intolerance manifestated before the 25^w set suspicion for adverse outcomes if not immediately and efficiently treated. It is urgent to initiate immediately pharmacological therapy if any of the former two criteria are present. So:

R 5.2a If GDM is diagnosed in early gestational age (before 25^w) and/or fasting plasma Glu value is high enough (>110 mg/dL), initiate medication. Insulin therapy is preffered. (2++)
