Are you sure that antacids can prevent NSAID-induced gastric damage? Firstly, they are definitely not cytoprotective agents that protect the mucus lining. Secondly, they are generally indicated for dyspepsia and symptomatic relief from GORD.This is not the drug that Dr. Vasiliou is refferring to.
