It is absolutely inadvisable to commence warfarin

Your supervising consultant is disappointed with your response and poor advice. Indeed, warfarin may be used to treat deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, when combined with parenteral anticogulation in the initial stages of treatment.
