Clevidipine (calcium-channel blocker)

Well-done! Cledividipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, which selectively blocks calcium channels on arteries. This leads to vasodilation and reduced total peripheral resistance. It has little effect on calcium channels in the heart, thus no direct effects on contractility and heart rate. 

Clevidipine is administered, as directed. Mr. Hill is discharged once he is stabilised.
