Romosuzumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to and inhibits sclerostin. 

By neutralizing sclerostin, romosuzumab exerts a dual effect on bone metabolism:

  • Stimulates bone formation by activating the Wnt signaling pathway

  • Inhibits bone resorption by downregulating osteoclast activity

  • Immunotherapy
