Blue to red

Dr. Brown agrees with you that the color of the solution is blue to start off with. She suspects that you have confused the Biuret test with Benedict’s test, which tests for reducing sugars. Indeed, a positive Benedict’s test is indicated by a color change from blue to yellow, green, orange, or red, depending on the concentration of the reducing sugar. 

Dr. Brown suggests that you revise the chemical reactions involved in the Biuret test so that you can refresh your knowledge before you carry out this important test.
