Despite warfarin dose adjustment, and close INR monitoring, my INR levels are not within recommended therapeutic range.

My doctor suggested non-vitamin K oral anticoagulants instead of warfarin. He said they have advantages and that I do not need to have regular INR tests, but warned me about their high cost.

What should I do?

  • My financial status allows me to change to NOACs
  • I will stay on warfarin, since I cannot afford expensive drugs, but I will regularly test the INR
  • I want to try a new drug, but my financial status don’t allow me to buy it regularly
