Alert the police and ask them to find Rory and return to the hospital

The ward staff call the police. The police are mobilised immediately and find the parents with the child, arrest the father and bring Rory and his mother back to the hospital.

Rory’s mother looks quite frightened but is also relieved to be back in the hospital. She tells you that she did not want to leave the hospital but her boyfriend insisted.

Rory is re-examined. He is similar to how he was before – responsive only to pain, with a HR of 120/min and respiratory rate of 35/min.

He is seen by the anaesthetists and admitted to the high dependency unit.
