Arrange bronchoscopy

You explain to Jack’s parents that you think he needs a bronchoscopy to internally examine his bronchii. They are surprised and request to speak to the respiratory consultant before giving consent.

You contact the paediatric respiratory team and ask that he be considered for a bronchoscopy. They agree that he has some important respiratory symptoms, but do not feel that there is enough information at the moment to justify a bronchoscopy.
