Grapefruit-aspirin (antiplatelet) interaction

Dr. Kyriacou explains that it is unlikely that Mr. Garcia’s presentation is due to a grapefruit-aspirin interaction. Grapefruit does not have a clinically important interaction with low‑dose aspirin. Even if grapefruit juice, a CYP450 inhibitor, interacted with aspirin, salicylate toxicity presents with tinnitus, hyperventilation, and acid–base disturbance, not profound myopathy with very high creatine kinase.

Please go back and re‑consider.
