Increased LDL uptake in hepatocytes

Well-done! Statins decrease the synthesis of cholesterol in the liver through inhibition of the rate-limiting enzyme, HMG-CoA reductase. Therefore, LDL is removed from the plasma and returned to the liver to restore hepatocyte cholesterol levels.
