Ivabradine (SA node/If channel inhibitor)

Dr. Kyriacou explains that ivabradine is not the best choice here because Mr. Garcia’s resting heart rate is 65 bpm on bisoprolol, which already indicates adequate rate control. Ivabradine reduces sinus node firing through If channel blockade and is generally considered when patients are in sinus rhythm with a resting heart rate at least 70 bpm despite beta blocker use or when beta blockers are not tolerated.

Please go back and re‑consider.
