Decreased absorption of dietary cholesterol

Dr. Kyriacou explains that this is a good answer as it would reduce LDL levels, however this describes ezetimibe, which blocks NPC1L1 at the intestinal brush border, leading to decreased absorption of dietary cholesterol. Bile acid sequestrants also decrease absorption of cholesterol, increasing faecal elimination of bile acids. It seems you have mixed up the different cholesterol-lowering drugs and their mode of action.

Please go back and re‑consider.
