Video Consultation

You are a medical doctor in a primary-care telemedicine clinic serving urban and peri-urban patients. Today you are running 20-minute video consultations integrated with the hospital EMR and e-prescribing. Your goals are to establish rapport, verify identity and consent, assess the main complaint, and create a safe, effective plan—while handling common technical barriers.

You must communicate clearly, respect privacy, and adapt to patients’ digital literacy. Non-verbal cues are harder to read online, so you will verbalize empathy and check understanding more often. You may invite other people only with the patient’s permission.
