What is EEG?

Scientists use EEG (electroencephalography) to record electrical activity in the brain and study patterns in:

• Alpha waves (relaxed attention)

• Beta waves (active thinking and memory)

They also analyze functional connectivity—how brain regions communicate. Tools like graph theory help visualize this. Studies show that increased connectivity and stronger beta activity are signs of brain resilience.
