She goes on a strict dietMaria is eager to lose weight and do it quickly. When she realizes that by training, either vigorously or with light intensity activity, she cannot do that in a short amount of time, she decides to go on a strict diet. She cuts down on important food groups such as carbohydrates, several major proteins, such as red meat and fish, she stops eating bread, and just tries to eat some fruit and vegetables throughout the day. But this type of diet wears her off, she feels exhausted after the first couple of weeks. She visits her GP who requests some lab tests. Her results are indicative of severe nutrient and vitamin deficiencies, severe dehydration and her GP says that this not a healthy way to lose weight. Maria is considering visiting a nutritionist. In the meantime she is wondering what else can she do to help losing weight, quickly but in a healthy way. She is thinking that sugar might be one way, but she loves eating chocolates, and candies in general. Sometimes she's overdoing it. And she knows it. |
